A Bordeaux blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cab Franc), Speranza has the aroma of currant with a discreet note of vanilla in the background. On the palate, it is layered with light toasty oak and a touch of berries, shaped by light acidity and soft substantial tannins. It has the intensity of clear, dark garnet with flashes of reddish-violet against the light.
Speranza, the Italian word for “Hope and Desire”, which has defined the life of the Musantes since 1926. It is with great pleasure that they share their wine and extend Hope and Desire to you.
The winemakers for Speranza are Robert Musante and Marie Schultz, an award winning winemaker from Napa. Speranza is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. The grapes in Speranza originate from the Zimmerman Vineyards on the Valley floor and the Nichelini Vineyard in Chiles Valley. This wine was aged for 24 months in 50% new and 50% once filled French Oak barrels. This is our most popular wine!
